At Proactive MD, we want to empower our clients and patients with education. Right now, there is a lot of news activity surrounding the coronavirus. The CDC is emphasizing that the risk to the American public is low; however, we want you to know that Proactive MD can help address your concerns and is taking every precaution to protect patients. Here’s what you can do for yourself and your families to stay healthy:
The coronavirus is a respiratory disease (like the flu) that spreads from person to person.
As with many similar viruses, the best protection is to wash your hands early and often.
Symptoms can be mild, or in some cases – particularly immunocompromised individuals – they can be severe enough to require hospitalization.
Your Proactive MD clinician can help determine if you have coronavirus, provide a care plan, and help you make a decision about whether or not you should go to work. Call your Health Center if you have recently traveled to an affected area or come in to contact with anyone confirmed to have the Coronavirus.
If you are having respiratory symptoms, you should also call your Health Center. While you may not have the Coronavirus, our practitioners want to treat any symptoms or illness that may be uncomfortable for you.
